
Original Recipe :
Make a Syrup of 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar . Just heat in a saucepan to dissolve the sugar. Yields 3 cups syrup. I put each lemon (1 at a time) in the microwave for 20 secs, then rolled it with my hand. This softens the lemon and expells much more juice when juicing. ( You can do this with oranges also when juicing for orange juice ) I then juiced 4 good sized lemons and got 10 oz of juice. So another 2 or 3 lemons would likely give me the 2 cups required for a full recipe. I did add the pulp as I like it and I added the lemon zest and some grated lemon peel to the juice. If you dont like pulp or rind - dont do this part.
To Make the Lemonade ::
Recipe #1 Mix 1.5 cups syrup, 2 cups lemon juice, 4 cups water
Recipe #2 Mix 2 cups sryup, 2 cups lemon juice, 4 cups water
Of course you can make it sweeter by adding more syrup OR weaker by adding more water.
Add lots of ice and enjoy !!
