Today truly feels like spring day.  Hope we have many more of them now. 

I know - hubby burst my bubble when he told me in about 7 weeks the days will start to get shorter !!   And everyone I know has said this has been the longer winter ever !!    TRUE !!    So I know he is not the only one thinking of this !! 

I say  Who Cares  - It is what it is !!    Each Season has its plus's  although some are more difficult to decide just what that plus maybe. 

Today was my day to varnish, add hanging wires and  the names to my new work.

Now I will get them on this site and updated  under the 2014 Year Gallery.    I am loving it.  Go ahead - have a look  -  Hope you enjoy.

HI TO ALL !!

Here we are this far in to April already.  Had company for a week before Easter, then we had Easter dinner at our home.  And the month is almost gone !! 

Today was the day - - I got to the lower level studio and painted and painted and painted !! 

I am thrilled as I have a number of canvas's prepared for future painting and I have a number that I worked on today and some that I finished today ( previously started and needing finishing touches ).  I feel like I accomplished so much !!   

I had to stop now as we are meeting friends and going out to dinner this evening. We need time out and it will be a very nice evening.  

Can't wait do a re-run of the painting again tomorrow !!  

THEN   I will try to get the paintings all varnished and ready to hang, then take photographs so that I an get them onto this website.    LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING THAT !!

Our art group  - Calgary Abstract Collective just finished the show at HSCA -  Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association yesterday. 

It was a great success - with good traffic, many sales, and potential for future. We were all pleased with the outcome and being as we had never been to this venue, we are  so looking forward to having another one in the future.  Watch for upcoming news. 

Our next scheduled show is at Rosemont Community Association on June 1st.  Will have more info as it gets closer.   In the meantime,  happy painting to you all.

Yep !!  Always running late - lately !!    I know,   I haven't been on this site to update in a LONG time !!    Life since January and my last blog has been difficult.

Three family members funerals in Medicine Hat - all completely different and all unexpected and all within 3.5 weeks in February.

Ron and I are getting around okay ad I am getting back to my painting and shows.   But I am REALLY far behind on what I had hoped to have done by now.   Life will get easier in the coming months .  

On a brighter note - I have been in 2 shows with Calgary Abstract Collective. One in February that was VERY successful at Scotia Ctr downtown and one at Rosemont Community Hall that was also very good.   We have another upcoming show at Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Hall this Saturday  March 29 from 11- 4pm.   Come on out -  visit and enjoy a cup of tea with us..  

AND -  I will say again - that I will be trying to get this website back up and much more current than it presently is within the next couple weeks or a month.  So stick with me and hopefully I will be able to post some new work soon.

Home again and trying to get back into a routine !!  

A lot of things happening in the art market for us this year.   Trying to get it all organized and in an order that is workable with my times here at home and my times away !   I have got a  LOT  of work to do if I am going to be in as many art shows as those coming up !!   


I will try to get the rest of my website up to date within these next 2 weeks ( say by end January  ) so that everything I am doing is listed correctly and in order.

For our New Year's Day,  we enjoyed the Dinner Theatre Show  of South Pacific.   The meal was great and the show equally as good !    I would go again if here another time. 

Remember that when you all come to Kauai.

We are now on the down slide of this vacation.

Will be heading home on Monday 6th and I will definitely be getting back into art and some new work. Unfortunately, my website needs a lot of updating as I found  I was just too busy this year from late summer on.   So I promise and am looking forward to working on it in the next few weeks !

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL FRIENDS, FAMILY AND ACQUAINTANCES !!

We had a great New Years Eve Day and Evening.  On 31st we started out travelling south from our resort at Princeville, stopping at many sites that we had not been to  -  a coffee plantation, spouting horn,  several falls,  and then lunch.  

We then boarded our boat for the Sunset Dinner Cruise.   We had a great time for New Years Eve.  It wasn't late or wild  but a perfect evening.

Our resort as night falls,  our cocoanut man along on of the beaches, the chickens and roasters everywhere !!  

Beaches are all nice, some are quite private,  BUT  because it is December ( their winter )  the tides and surf  are all high and rough and not safe to swim at a lot of places.   The calm beaches are great though. !

The chickens and roosters are wild.  It is said - During he hurricanes of 2004 and1992 they got loose and because they are quite prolific,  people cant catch them to confine them.   So they are free to wander the streets, roads, beaches, etc.  They are not a problem for us. Our resort is clean and very nice.  Most of the places we've been - they keep a distance anyway.   I say now, that I can understand why the people on Survivor always get a few chickens in their series - probably the same thing as here.   

The coconuts were fun - 1st he cuts them on the bottom and ensures there is a hole there to drink the milk.  When the milk is gone,  he then cuts your coconut in half and scoops out the meat for you to eat.   Very interesting.    EVERYONE  wanted coconuts ! 

Beaches, food, drinks,  sun and sand. !!              Its been great.                                                    Today, we are off to the helicopter tour.  We could have done this in Alaska a few years ago - but didn't as we felt we were pushed for time when off the ship, so we are going to do it here. 

We will be able to see the famous Napoli Coast which is impossible to get to by land and will also see Waimea Canyon from above.

Waimea Canyon is called the "  Grand Canyon of the Pacific   "  - so should be interesting and looking forward to it.    

I am still thinking of all of you and I do look forward to painting when I return home.  Perhaps I can convert some of my photos into great Abstract Pieces  !!   T
